AAA Foundation Provides Grant to ACAE
On December 1, the American Academy of Audiology Foundation announced that it will provide a $20,000 grant to the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE). This grant is earmarked to fund an Application Awards program for the recruitment of universities seeking accreditation of audiology doctoral programs through ACAE. ACAE has set up an independent panel to develop the criteria, timeline, and processes for the Application Award program, and expects to begin implementation in spring 2009.
Cheryl Kreider Carey, executive director and member of the Foundation Board stated, "The Foundation is pleased that it is able to support this exciting initiative that is so important to the future of audiology education. This grant is the beginning of a great new partnership."
