Running for the Future of Audiology

The event is “really more about participating and supporting a cause,” according to Steven D. Sederholm, Au.D., chairman of the ABA Fun Run Committee. “There should be no fear of finishing last. The ABA Board will strategically place incognito participants designated to pull up the rear.”

The ABA has hired an event management company that will provide comprehensive race day services, including computerized scoring, entertainment, and most importantly, plenty of water, refreshments, and food before, during, and after the race. The Board wants this to be a first-class event—one that will evoke fond memories for its participants and spectators for years to come.

A portion of entry fees qualifies as a charitable tax deduction, as they are donated directly to the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAAF).

Prizes will be awarded and the first-place men’s and women’s finisher, as well as the participant who raises the most sponsor contributions will receive a free hot air balloon ride!
