A new Hearing with our Hearts project with Oticon
The AAA Foundation will again partner with Oticon on a Hearing with Our Hearts project in 2010! Two audiologists will have the opportunity to participate in the humanitarian MISSION TO XANTHIA in South Africa funded with support from Oticon, Inc. If you have an adverturous spirit and would like to contribute your time and expertise to this mission that will be life-changing for you and the children you will help, visit the Foundation booth for more information.

Kick off AudiologyNOW! in elegant fashion at the Happy Hour with a View in beautiful La Jolla (transportation provided). Attendees will enjoy fine food, wine, and seascape views at this benefit dinner party supporting audiology education. Tickets are $150.00 and available by calling 703.226.1049. The festivities continue at the Honors and Awards Banquet. Celebrate those who have helped further the audiology field through philanthropy and research while enjoying a delicious dinner.
Everyone is invited to surrender to a rockin' good time at the Alternative Energy Block Party Benefiting the AAA Foundation – Powered by Oticon. Rock band Cheap Trick will perform and for everyone that attends, Oticon will donate $10 to the Foundation (up to $25,000). You won’t want to miss the 2010 Marion Downs Lecture in Pediatric Audiology, “Optimizing Early Word Learning in Infants with Hearing Loss” presented by Mary Pat Moeller, PhD, director of the Center for Childhood Deafness at Boys Town National Research Hospital. Those unable to attend AudiologyNOW! will have the opportunity to view a live Web seminar of the lecture through eAudiology. The presentation will also be available on-demand through March 31, 2011. Funded by a grant from Oticon Foundation.

Attendees have two opportunities to view research poster presentations from audiology students. Four of these young researchers will receive $500.00 awards as part of the James Jerger Award for Excellence in Students Research. Funded annually by an anonymous Foundation donor.
