2009 Member Assistance Program
Last year the AAA Foundation provided $4,900 in stipend This year the AAAF will provide over $5,800.00 in stipend funding to six audiologists as they traveled to AudiologyNOW!®, the premiere educational event in the hearing sciences. The AAAF will once again offer this support for audiologists through the 2009 Member Assistance Program (MAP).
The application process is open to any Academy member who is experiencing FINANCIAL HARDSHIP (for medical, family, professional, natural disaster or other personal issues). The assistance provided can include complimentary convention registration, complimentary accommodations and/or a stipend or reimbursement for travel expenses, such as airfare.
Applications are accepted in December and early January each year. For information, please contact the Foundation office.
The Member Assistance Program is funded with gifts from Academy members through the Annual Fund. In addition, corporate support from Auban, Inc., Oaktree Products and the Missouri Academy of Audiology make this program possible each year.
