Research
Join the AAA Foundation Board of Trustees at the 2007 Foundation Research Awards Reception and Poster Presentations on Friday, April 20, 2007. The AAA Foundation will recognize the recipients of the 2007 Research Awards, the James Jerger Awards for Excellence in Student Research, Student Research Forum presenters and other accomplishments in audiology research from 5:30-6:00pm. Following the Awards, posters will be available for viewing and researchers will be on hand to discuss their current projects during a wine and cheese reception (cash bar).
Five top graduate students will present their research projects at the always-interesting Student Research Forum from 12:00 noon-1:30pm on Friday, April 20, 2007 (Boxed lunches will be available in the meeting room.) These outstanding students will be recognized at the Research Awards Reception on Friday evening.
The AAA Foundation thanks Plural Publishing for their commitment to audiology research with their generous underwriting support of the Student Research Forum Awards program.

Education
The 2007 Marion Downs Lecture in Pediatric Audiology will once again feature a cutting-edge presentation on issues relating to the screening, diagnosis and management of infant and childhood hearing problems. The 2007 program will be presented by Walter Nance, MD, Ph.D., geneticist at Virginia Commonwealth University. The annual Marion Downs Lecture is made possible by funding from the American Academy ofAudiology Foundation with grant money from the Oticon Foundation.
Fundraising and Fun-raising
The AAA Foundation’s Happy Hour-and-a-Half reception will be held on Wednesday, April 18th from 5:30-7:00pm. Enjoy drinks and hors d’oeurves, and catch up with old friends at this special cocktail hour event. The AAA Foundation Board will recognize those Academy and corporate donors who make the Foundation’s work possible through their contributions and underwriting support. Discounted tickets of $35.00 (students tickets-$20.00) are available when purchased in advance through the online registration web site. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $45.00 for members/guests and $25.00 for students.

The Silent Auction will be open from Thursday, April 19th through Saturday, April 21st and all AudiologyNOW! attendees are invited at no charge. Come and bid…we guarantee one of our special items will “peak” your interest.
Make a point to visit the AAAF Foundation Booth where you can find out what exciting programs your Foundation is working to fund in 2007. And while you’re there, you can make your tax-deductible gift to the 2007 Annual Fund…anyone who contributes $25 will receive a special thank you gift.
