The Foundation is pleased to once again offer complimentary Hearing Assistance Technologies (HAT) DVDs on a first-come, first-served basis at AudiologyNOW! Double You Fun at AudiologyNOW! With Two Foundation Benefit Events
Start your evening with food, wine, friends, and a jaw-dropping view at this year’s Happy Hour with a View from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Held at the Seaport’s Lighthouse Ballroom on the South Boston Waterfront, you can let your hair down while raising money for the Foundation’s programs in research and education. Underwriting support provided by HearUSA Hearing Care Network.

The party continues at the inaugural Student Academy of Audiology/AAA Foundation Cheers for Ears event held at Harpoon Brewery from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. The craft brews and appetizers will taste even better with the knowledge that proceeds benefit student initiatives. 

Tickets for the Happy Hour with a View ($75 members/$25 students) and Cheers for Ears ($25 suggested donation) are available with your AudiologyNOW! registration. For more information, please contact the Foundation office at 703.226.1048.

Dr. Linda Luxon, Emeritus Professor of Audiovestibular Medicine at the University of London, will present The Dilemma of Dizziness in Children, the 2012 Marion Downs Lecture in Pediatric Audiology. Once again, those unable to attend AudiologyNOW! will have the opportunity to view a live Web seminar of the lecture through eAudiology. The presentation will also be available on-demand. Whether you’re a current PhD student, AuD student interested in pursuing a PhD, current post-doc, or first year faculty member, you won't want to miss the PhD Networking Lunch. Funded in part by the Foundation.

Join poster presenters as they share their knowledge and findings with their fellow audiologists during the Clinical and Research Poster Reception. Four posters submitted by students will be selected for the James Jerger Award for Excellence in Student Research. These student poster research awards are funded by an anonymous donor.

The new Improving Patient Care through Innovation in Workplace Management Lecture will focus on practical skills for audiologists in a variety of practice settings who strive to improve audiology treatment delivery. In 2012, Candace Bertotti, a member of the facilitator faculty of Vital Smarts, will present Influencer: How to Create Change in Your Audiology Workplace. During this presentation, participants will learn of tools that impact future behavior of patients, staff, and co-workers. Philanthropic support provided by Phonak Hearing Systems.
