New Report Available as Gift for AAA Foundation Donors
An Ear to the Ground: Forces Affecting the Future of Audiology, the 2011 report published by the American Academy of Audiology, includes a comprehensive and forward-looking scan of conditions and trends in audiology, science, technology, and policy. These trends have the potential to impact your patients, students, research, practice, university or other educational practice setting, medical institution, and other stakeholders in the hearing health community. The report is a 30-page overview of trends in five major areas: Sociodemographics, Technology, Economics, Environment, and Politics/Policy (also know as STEEP categories). The scan was conducted for the Academy by the Forbes Group, a 28-year-old strategic counseling firm that specializes in helping professional and trade association leaders think, plan, and act strategically. Data were gathered through scientific publications, healthcare databases, proprietary databases, and interviews with leaders of the Academy. An Ear to the Ground is now available as a free gift to supporters of the Academy’s philanthropic partner, the AAA Foundation.
