Bio: Jacobs
Karen Jacobs, AuD  Karen Jacobs, AuD is a private practitioner in Grand Rapids, Michigan and owner of AVA Hearing Center, which she started in 1998 following 15 years in an ENT practice. She is thrilled to be serving as a Trustee of the AAA Foundation. She has been active in the profession, serving recently on the American Academy of Audiology Board of Directors, the American Board of Audiology Board of Governors, Political Action Committee Advisory Board, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Business Enhancement Strategies and Techniques, International Committee, and State of Michigan Audiology Licensure Board. She served as President of the Michigan Academy of Audiology and numerous committees and Task Forces at the State and National level. She has a BS in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University; an MA in Audiology from Central Michigan University; and an AuD from the George S. Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University. In addition to audiology she enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with her husband Michael, daughter Sarah, and son Paul.
