Dianne Meyer, PhD
Dianne Meyer, PhD, is Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Communication Disorders & Sciences at Rush University in Chicago. She holds a conjoint appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology, serves as Director of the Section of Communicative Disorders at Rush University Medical Center, and is an affiliated scientist on the medical staff.
Dr. Meyer received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her master’s degree in audiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her Ph.D. in audiology is from Northwestern University.
Her teaching, research, and clinical interests are in the areas of diagnostic audiology and pediatric audiology. She chairs the Illinois State Advisory Committee on Universal Newborn Hearing Screening. Dr. Meyer is a recipient of the Professional Achievement Award from the American Academy of Audiology, and she is an ASHA Fellow. She has chaired the Education Committee of the American Academy of Audiology and is a past Board Member of the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Dr. Meyer and her husband, Robert, have two children, Kevin and Kate.
